UNESCO/UIE International Award for Literacy Research 2004
The UNESCO Institute for Education has recently launched the new cycle of the International Award for Literacy Research, which is co-sponsored by the Canadian National Literacy Secretariat (NLS) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). The competition is open to researchers in all world regions and aims at stimulating and honoring investigations and new insights in the field of adult literacy. Hoping to contribute to the objectives of the UN Literacy Decade, a special thematic focus has been chosen for this year’s competition in line with the UN Literacy Decade’s focus for next year: "adult literacy for sustainable development."
Manuscripts written in either one of the three languages will be accepted. Send your contributions by the end of 2004 to:
