Innovations in Water, Sanitation, and Energy Services for Poor People The World Banks Development Marketplace Program, in collaboration with the Water and Sanitation Program and the Energy Sector Management Assistance Programme announces its Call for Proposals for the 2006 Global Development Marketplace (DM2006). With a theme of, Innovations in Water, Sanitation,and Energy Services for Poor People, the 2006 Marketplace expects to award US$4 million for ideas that provide clean water supply, sanitation and energy services to poor communities developing countries. Proposals are welcome from a range of development innovators civil society groups, social entrepreneurs, private foundations, government agencies, academia, the private sector, as well as staff from the World Bank Group and other donor organizations.
