Aschberg Bursaries for Artists

Important information:

� Selection of candidates will take place in June-July 2004. Only successful candidates will be notified of the selection.
� Please check the institution�s closing date for application: mailing of your files must be postmarked before that date.
� Incomplete or misdirected files will neither be considered or returned.
� Applications sent by fax or e-mail will neither be considered nor returned.
� You must be informed that you can be a laureate only once to these bursaries.
� Candidates who are nationals of the state which offers the residency will not be considered.

Information to make up your file:

A curriculum vitae must indicate: your educational qualifications, your artistic experience, education or work experience abroad

A letter of application must explain in no more than two pages your motivated reasons why you wish to participate in a chosen residency or training programme. Please be accurate in describing your objectives, needs and expectations in relation to the residency.

The testimonials have to be written by persons qualified to judge your artistic achievements and potential.

A document assessing your command of languages is required by the host institution (unless it is your mother tongue). Examples: TOEFL, diploma, certificate, marks sheet, certificate by a language teacher, etc.

According to the discipline and institution requirements, artistic documentation (your name should appear on each item of artistic documentation) can consist of:
� Visual arts: a sample of photographs, mounted slides or CD-ROM
� Theatre, dance: newspaper clippings, photographs, videotape (VHS)
� Music: audio tape or scores (for composers)
� Creative writing: copy of a manuscript or published text (not more than 10 pages)
� Film/Video: CD-ROM or videotape (VHS). Please indicate the format on the case.
