4. Preferred positions

The three positions should be ranked according to your personal preference.
However, this procedure does not guarantee that you will be given a position that will match your personal choice.

Extra requirements are to be taken into consideration if applying as:

* Interpreter - brief reference from a certified person, including your stage of training and experience
* Journalist (photographer) - experience and portfolio sample
* Journalist (cameraman) - experience and short-film sample

File upload:

You can upload up to 8 MB in total! If you want to provide a bigger sample/reference letter please use an external provider like youtube and provide the link or tick: "send us an email". We will get in contact with you after your application and tell you where to send it.
If you receive an Internal Error 500, your file is too big, please choose a smaler file or choose one of the other options.

Interpreter:

-All applicants for an interpreter position should include details of at least two, if not three, professional languages. One of these should be English as all interpreting will be from English, the language of the simulation, into another European language.
- Interpreters will be paired with another who will interpret into the same language on a rotational basis.
- The interpreters who are not chosen and who stated this position as their only option will be ruled out of the simulation.
- Although we accept applications for interpreting into any European language, we have participant quotas broadly based on home country population size and hence there will be greater demand for interpreting into those languages, as the places/languages for the interpreters will be allocated according to the distribution of the participants. Also due to this, the interpreters will get the selection results a week after the other participants.

The deadline for sending your application is 24th January 2010, 23 GMT+1.

You are kindly asked to fill out the application form, to write a short motivation text (not more than 100 words) and an essay of about 700 words on ONE of the following topics:

1. Is European Identity a myth?
2. If Europe made a new treaty, what would you want in it?
3. EU after the crisis: evolution or revolution?
